In-Home Dog Training Services

Every dog — and every household — is different. Training services are designed to meet you and your dog where you are, with calm, force-free support delivered in your home and everyday environment.
Whether you’re raising a puppy, navigating adolescence, or working through behaviour challenges, training focuses on understanding, communication, and realistic progress you can maintain long-term.

Getting Started- Your First Step

Training begins with a conversation about what’s going on, what you’ve tried, and what you’d like to change. From there, a personalized in-home training plan is created to support both you and your dog.

💚 Right Fit Adoption Support

Bringing home a rescue dog is exciting — but choosing the right dog for your home is the most important step of all.

This service offers professional guidance before adoption. I help you assess whether a rescue dog’s temperament, energy level, and needs match your lifestyle — so you can adopt with confidence and avoid future behaviour struggles.

The service includes a pre-adoption consultation, support during a foster meet-and-greet visit, and honest professional feedback.

Because better behaviour starts with understanding — right from the beginning.

Ask About Adoption Support

Puppy & Young Dog Training

Support for puppies and young dogs during their early learning stages, with a focus on building strong foundations and preventing future challenges.

Common areas of focus include:
  • House training and daily routines
  • Basic skills and household manners
  • Bite inhibition and appropriate play
  • Building confidence and calm behaviour

Training is practical, age-appropriate, and tailored to your home, lifestyle, and puppy’s individual needs.

Adolescent & “Teenage” Dog Training

Adolescence can be one of the most challenging stages of a dog’s development. Training during this period focuses on maintaining connection, improving focus, and navigating big emotions.

Support may include:
  • Pulling on leash and outdoor distractions
  • Impulse control and focus
  • Recall challenges
  • Boundary testing and frustration

Training helps you move through this stage with clarity, patience, and realistic expectations.

Adult Dog & Behaviour Support

For adult dogs and rescues who may be struggling with behaviour challenges or adjusting to a new home.

Support may include:
  • Reactivity to dogs, people, or environments
  • Fear, anxiety, or stress-related behaviours
  • Barking, lunging, or avoidance
  • Settling into new routines or households

Training is calm, force-free, and paced to support your dog’s emotional wellbeing and learning process.

🐕 Lifestyle Skills Program

The Lifestyle Skills Program is designed to help dogs navigate the real world with calm confidence. By working through everyday environments outside your home, these sessions support emotional stability, focus, and adaptability so your dog can fit more comfortably into daily life.

Often added alongside other training programs for owners who enjoy including their dog in everyday outings and activities.

We believe in positive reinforcement training

Positive reinforcement training allows you to communicate clearly with your dog. When you reward your dog for doing things correctly, it's more likely they will repeat those good behaviours. If they're misbehaving it's likely they just don't understand what you want from them.
