Common Areas of Focus

Training is tailored to your dog, but commonly includes:
  • Strengthening foundational obedience and everyday reliability
  • Loose leash walking and managing outdoor distractions
  • Improving recall and consistent responses to cues
  • Developing impulse control and sustained focus
  • Reducing jumping, pulling, and overexcitement
  • Building calmer behaviour at home and in public settings

What’s Included

  • Initial in-home consultation
  • A personalized training plan
  • Six private in-home training sessions
  • Practical exercises to implement between sessions
  • Ongoing guidance for real-life situations as they arise

What Makes This Training Different

Training sessions are scheduled weekly to provide consistency during a stage when progress can feel uneven. Meeting regularly helps reinforce skills, support emotional regulation, and reduce setbacks that often occur when there are long gaps between sessions.

Sessions focus on practical challenges such as leash skills, maintaining focus around distractions, polite behaviour at home, and reliable responses to cues like come and stay — even when excitement or frustration increases.

After each session, you’ll receive written follow-up notes outlining what we covered, along with clear, step-by-step guidance so you can confidently continue between visits.

Ongoing support is available between sessions and beyond. You’re welcome to reach out by text or email if questions arise between sessions so you’re never left unsure how to handle challenges as they arise.

After your initial program is completed, additional sessions are always available if you’d like continued guidance or wish to build on your dog’s progress.

Investment

Training begins with an initial in-home consultation. This first session allows us to meet in person, review what’s happening, and determine whether the program is the right fit before moving forward.

Initial In-Home Consultation: $160 (non-refundable)
This consultation is the only investment required upfront. During our time together, we’ll assess your dog’s current habits, routines, and goals, and outline the most appropriate training plan for your household.

If you choose to continue, adolescent training is delivered as a structured 6-session in-home program designed to provide consistency, guidance, and time for meaningful progress. Sessions are scheduled weekly so skills can build steadily.

6-session Adolescent Training Program: $780 (+HST)
